Newport was one of the first Western distributors to open their own, independent laboratory for quality control testing of Chinese raw materials.

The Newport Technical Centre Shanghai, established in 2002, is staffed by qualified technical personnel. Regular testing and monitoring of resins and polymers includes measurement of; Softening Point, Viscosity, Acid Value and other critical parameters, to ensure consistent product quality.
